In response to the increasingly urgent need for targeted and timely information about environmental challenges, UNEP created a special report series – Rapid Response Assessments (RRAs) – developed by GRID-Arendal. The team for each report includes globally recognized experts, and rigorous peer review is conducted prior to release. The reports are developed over weeks or months, depending on the issue and need, and combine the latest scientific information with direct field investigations.
