The Caucasus ecoregion, which includes the countries of Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia, and parts of Russia, Turkey and Iran, has three main urban centers - Yerevan, Tbilisi and Baku. Rural population is primarily distributed on the plains and coasts.
