Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins (Stella l. longirostris), Big Island, Hawaii

Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins feed at night and play in the morning hours. The morning hours are also the time when tourists are allowed to swim with them. Codes of conduct for tour companies should secure that the dolphins are not disturbed, when they later the day go asleep.
