Rice Corals (Montipora capitata), Kane'ohe Bay, O'ahu, Hawaii

Montipora capitata, commonly known as rice coral or pore coral, is a stony coral in the family Acroporidae. It is a reef building species and is found in tropical parts of the Pacific Ocean. Art is one of three main coral species in Kane'ohe Bay, where out is a main study object of the Marine Option Programme of the University of Hawaii.
