Al Orolfo congratulates the Blue Solutions team #5yearsBlueSolutions
Al Orolfo is part of the Department of Environment & Natural Resources (DENR) in the Philippines. He has been a close friend and collaborator of the Blue Solutions initiative and in this video he briefly congratulates the project team for 5 years project implementation.
This video was recorded during the Blue Solutions Fair in March 2018, where Al participated to exchange knowledge with other practitioners from the Asia-Pacific region and to developed a new solution approach.
During the event, he addressed one of the main challenges of the Philippines, the lack of natural-disaster preparedness in coastal communities. The DENR and national agencies have started to roll-out Vulnerability Assessment Tools and climate proofing of local plans under the Coastal Marine Ecosystems Management Program (CMEMP).
