University of the Arctic
The University of the Arctic is a cooperative network of more than 170 universities, colleges, research institutes and other organizations.
ECORA is a Global Environment Facility (GEF) project initiated by the Arctic Council Working Group on the Conservation of Arctic Flora and Fauna (CAFF), UNEP/GRID-Arendal, and the Russian Federation that uses an integrated ecosystem management approach to conserve biodiversity and minimize habitat fragmentation in the Russian Arctic.
The main phase of the project was initiated in 2004 and is scheduled for completion in 2009. The following report presents an overview of the project and a summary of major results to date. A full project report will be prepared upon completion of the project.
