I am an earth scientist and GIS specialist coming from a small town of Hungary called Esztergom. In addition to cartography and remote sensing, I also have a strong interest in studying changes in marine and cold environments.

During my studies I had the chance to take part in fieldwork in different mountainous and polar regions such as the Carpathians, the Scandes and Svalbard. I also had some brief periods of studying social geography in Czechia, Estonia and Russia. Before coming to Norway, I worked as a GIS technician at Airbus Defence and Space where I have developed skills in image analysis and programming.

To cut a long story short, I have mixed background with experiences from many fields and I think joining GRID Arendal is the perfect place to exploit this. At GRID-Arendal, I am involved in many different projects as a member of the technology and innovation group and the GIS pool. My work is to provide support in digital cartography, GIS analyses and database creation and management for GRID-Arendal’s ongoing projects. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, being with my friends and improving my Norwegian!
