Large-scale climate changes in the Arctic may influence local climate conditions which, in turn, is likely to affect foraging conditions for reindeer, the productivity of herds and, ultimately, herders’ income and livelihood. Increases in temperature and precipitation can affect the pastures in a variety of ways that may influence conditions for reindeer.
