Asian Openbill (Anastomus oscitans), Chitwan National Park, Nepal
The Asian Openbill is a large wading bird in the stork family Ciconiidae. This distinctive stork is found mainly in the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. The population size is very large, and hence does not approach the thresholds for vulnerable under the population size criterion.
