International cooperation on climate changes

All Hindu Kush Himalayan countries have ratified the Paris Agreement and adopted the Sustainable Development Goals in their national development agendas. In addition, all HKH countries have ratified the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and most are also involved in the United Nations Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD+) programme, thus providing a strong foundation for national and regional policy development in the region.
