Kung fu, art of life-Intuition and spontanity or hard work -or all? Miree Abrahamson at TEDxArendal
Writer, artist and wushu (Kung-fu)-practioner from Norway, have spend all her adult life travelling, studying and working abroad. Her core-areas of interest are the ex-Soviet-union, Middle-East and China where she has been practicing wushu for the last five years.
MiRee has one belief; “Everything is possible – and where there is will, there is a way”. MiRee tries to pull out as much inspiration from the the unpleasant happenings in life as the more happy ones, and also tries to pass on this energy, besides this, she enjoys trying out the fine balance between incurable optimism vs. foolhardiness. MiRee is a little childish, because when people say: “You can not do it”, she will be absolutely determined to try it out. Working abroad, in such places, such as Syria, Russia, Israel, Byelorussia etc. MiRee A. has published five books, hundreds of articles and is often taking part in exhibitions, displaying her paintings and photos.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
