Earth Observation for Sustainable Development: Fragility, Conflict, and Security

08 Dec 2021

The EO4SD-FCS project, an ambitious initiative funded by ESA, has successfully demonstrated how data from Earth Observation (EO) technology can be transformed into useful analytical products that can be used to reduce environmental and human insecurity in fragile states.

It provided international institutions such as the World Bank with the latest EO-based tools and services, supporting them in adapting these products as standard solutions in all their projects addressing fragility. This was achieved through service demonstrations and training as well as regular contact with the stakeholders to present and explain the possibilities offered by the tools.

This final report presents an overview of the activities conducted during the project as well as its main achievements.
