Fish farming and processing on the Lofoten Islands

Cod fishing is a traditional practice in Lofoten, home to around 24,500 people and and an area where locals have been producing Stockfish for over 1000 years. Lofoten is where the World's largest and last cod stocks are found, in the Barent's Sea. Fishing is as strong an industry as tourism in this region.
