Before joining GRID-Arendal I worked for Engineers Without Borders Norway (EWB), overseeing the organizations' international assignments. Since 2018 the number of projects within waste management and plastic recycling increased significantly, which enforced my interest in supporting new ideas, narratives, and other innovative initiatives to tackle the global challenge of pollution.
I hold a Master’s degree is from the Centre for Development and the Environment (SUM), University of Oslo. From my time at SUM I have brought with me a goal to think and act critically and creatively in the field of “sustainable development”.
In my spare time I am also a board member for the Association for International Water Studies (FIVAS), which works to map and spread information on water issues, as well as influence national and international policies to maintain the human right to water and to protect the environment.
Here at GRID-Arendal I am involved with projects in both the Waste and Marine Litter program and the Polar and Climate program, focusing on global policy development on marine plastic waste and plastic pollution.
