Beach litter sources around Nuuk, Greenland: An analysis by UArctic summer school graduate course students
We used a teaching exercise at a UArctic summer school graduate course to conduct a preliminary in-depth analysis of beach litter sources.
At GRID-Arendal, I am the Project Manager for Arctic Marine Litter and the current lead of the UArctic Thematic Network on Arctic Plastic Pollution. My main interest is to explore new ideas, narratives and other innovate initiatives to tackle the global challenge of plastic pollution.
I hold a master's degree from the Center for Sustainability and the Environment, University of Oslo, focusing on human-nature relationships (Social Sciences). My thesis explored gender dimensions of urban water management in Kathmandu, Nepal.
From 2017 to 2021 I worked for Engineers Without Borders Norway, managing projects within innovation and technology to reduce plastic pollution in the Global South. Since 2019, I have been a board member of the Norwegian Association for International Water Studies.
