Benguela Infinite Fisheries and Harvesting Association (BIFAH)
BIFAH is a local community association representing fishers and harvesters in the Benguela region. Members of BIFAH played an active role in the Waves of Change project, joining workshops, sharing local knowledge, and helping to bring the murals to life with their stories and creativity.
This photo is part of the Waves of Change initiative, a community-based art and ocean literacy project along Namibia’s coast. The project uses creativity and storytelling to inspire young people, connect communities to the sea, and share their voices with decision-makers. Supported by local partners and the NIMPA+ project, Waves of Change empowers champions of ocean conservation through murals, workshops, and education activities.
