Glaciers are vanishing. Even the ice-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro may soon be just a memory.
This short animation highlights the rapid loss of glaciers in UNESCO World Heritage sites – from the Dolomites in Italy to Yosemite in the US – and why 2025 has been named the International Year of Glacier Preservation by the UN.
It’s a call to protect these vital water sources before they disappear.
