Case Study #3: Rare and its Pride Campaigns

"Communicating Ecosystem-based Management" is a UN Environment/GRID-Arendal report that strives to highlight practical examples in the communication of ecosystem-based management. These case studies were chosen to reflect the diversity of communication objectives and approaches, which could be dependent on factors such as the scale of implementation, geography, entry point, target audience, messages and budget.

Rare is an international behaviour change organization involved in conservation. With a particular focus on the sustainability of small-scale fisheries, watersheds and organic agriculture, Rare applies state-of-the-art behavioural science to its conservation projects, believing that almost all challenges in resource management require human behaviour change.
