The Earth Observation Data for Ecosystem Monitoring tool (‘EODESM’) is a tool developed under the Horizon 2020 ECOPOTENTIAL project (
ecopotential-project.eu). EODESM automatically classifies land cover from environmental variables, enabling users to detect changes in hydroperiod, changes in vegetation and soil moisture, and other environmental variables. This short video explains the EODESM tool and its application within the Doñana National Park, a wetland located in south-western Spain. The video includes interviews with scientists from the park and working for ECOPOTENTIAL as well from the park management. Produced by GRID-Arendal for the Ecopotential project.
