Why a regular rrocess?

The United Nations General Assembly in 2005 endorsed the need for a Regular Process for the global reporting and assessment of the state of the marine environment, including socio-economic aspects in response to global concern about the intensification of the uses of the marine environment and the adverse impacts being observed on the ability of seas and oceans to continue to provide the benefits on which human kind depends.

A 3min. multimedia sequence was developed for this project to demonstrate some of the potential features and communication tools that can be incorporated into the RP-CHM. The presentation introduces the concept of why we need a Regular Process to assess and report on the state of the worlds oceans to a non-technical audience. It is anticipated that this will also be of use for presentations as well as web users.
