The Caucasus Environment Outlook
The Caucasus Environment Outlook (CEO) is a comprehensive assessment of the Caucasus ecoregion which includes whole or parts of six countries – Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iran, Türkiye and Russia. Located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, this region has rich cultural history and biodiversity, increasingly threatened by environmental change and human activities.
The publication is built around the Driver-Pressure-State-Impact-Response (DPSIR)Framework recognized in environmental assessments. The CEO covers the main drivers of environmental change in the region for each of the thematic chapters of land cover, biodiversity, freshwater, air, environmental hazards and other cross-cutting issues. The CEO covers the states of the policies in the region and evaluates the needs in future years to increase climate change adaptation and ensure the well-being of its population.
The publication is planned to be released in Fall 2023 on this same webpage.
