Mainstreaming from a gender perspective is the process of assessing the implications for women and men of any planned action and responding by designing gender-neutral procedures and approaches.


This publication has been produced in collaboration with The Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Convention (BRS) Gender Task Team. The Pocket Guide is a summary of the BRS Gender Action Plan and provides the Secretariat, the Parties to the Conventions and other stakeholders information on how to integrate a gender perspective in the sound management of chemicals and waste.
