Garbage at the beach of Phippsøya, Seven Islands, Svalbard

Even at this most remote place in the High Arctic, only 1000km away from the North Pole, huge amounts of garbage from Southern civilizations can be found. The photo was taken at the LT&C Study Tour 2015 "Cleaning the shores of Spitsbergen".
