Watching ringed plovers from short distance, Tromlingen, Rate National Park
The Tromlingen islands, as a centrepiece and most valuable part of the Raet national park, are an attractive place for bird watchers, in particular in autumn, when migratory birds from the Arctic stop over on the islands. These first year old ringed plovers may just have arrived on their first journey from Greenland on the way to the South. There are still quite time, because they had most likely no experience with humans so far.
