Guidelines on biodiversity and Tourism Development
The Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and the international community has developed Guidelines on Biodiversity and Tourism Development as a comprehensive instrument to achieve more sustainable tourism development.
The instrument is described as "International guidelines for activities related to sustainable tourism development in vulnerable terrestrial, marine and coastal ecosystems and habitats of major importance for biological diversity and protected areas, including fragile riparian and mountain ecosystems."
