Polar and Mountain Environments
The polar and high mountains are the planet’s barometers, telling us a great deal about the present and future effects of climate change.
As a current master student in Science for Sustainable Development at Linkӧping University in Sweden, I got the opportunity to work as an intern at GRID-Arendal and being part of the Mountain and Polar Programme.
My background is in sustainable tourism through my bachelor from NHTV Breda and Wageningen University in the Netherlands. I also have experience working with sustainable tourism development from an internship at the Myanmar Responsible Tourism Institute in Yangon.
My interest in environmental issues evoked during my exchange semester at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, where I attended courses in environmental and development studies during my bachelor studies. My current master and the internship at GRID are giving me the opportunity to specialize in this interest and learn more about environmental issues and how to tackle them.
