Smoke on Water – Countering global threats from peatland loss & degradation (revised Dec. 2017)
GRID-Arendal produced a peer-reviewed rapid response assessment to support the Global Peatlands Initiative in its initial work.
My educational background is multimedia technology and design. Like many others who grew up during the Renaissance of the digital age, I developed a passion for media and digital devices early. My biggest interests are web development and photography, but I also find relief in more traditional activities such as drawing and handcrafting.
After I completed my bachelor's degree back in 2013, I travelled to Bergen and co-founded a company named Thunki. It was a small company with a few motivated like-minded people. Most of my work at Thunki consists of creating web pages, or adding functionality to existing ones. I also worked as a photojournalist during my stay in Bergen, and it was in this field I found my passion for contribution through knowledge. My experiences in Bergen eventually persuaded me to start on my masters in Educational Technology and Media. I discovered Grid-Arendal through my university network, and as of now I am both an employee and a student.
My main responsibilities at Grid-Arendal are management of the digital systems, and continuously contribution to the development of the Grid-Arendal web site.
