Glacier shrinking on Cumberland Peninsula, Baffin Island, Canadian Arctic

A new glacier inventory based on satellite data shows that the glacier cover reduced by about 22% between the Little Ice Age (LIA) maximum extent and 2000. Changes in glacier area and volume are being used as indicators for climate change and global warming.
