Kara Sea Coast with Sea Ice, Taimyr, Russia (July 1989)

Much of the northernmost land and biodiversity of the Eurasian continent on the Siberian peninsular Taimyr is since 1993 protected within the Great Arctic Reserve (Zapovednik), which once WWF helped to establish within the German-Soviet Environmental Agreement.
