Icebergs in Uummannaq, Greenland

A study by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in 2010 put Greenland and Antarctic Ice sheets as the dominant contributors to sea level rise, ahead of mountain glaciers. The rate of ice loss from Greenland's ice sheet has overtaken mountain glaciers, and the pace is increasing rapidly.
