Madagascar Green Pigeon (Treron australis), Toliara, Madagascar

The Madagascar Green Pigeon (Treron australis) is a fairly common and widespread species, although endemic to Madagascar and the Comoros Islands. It inhabits a variety of woodland habitats, including mangroves. Because of its green color it is often difficult to detect in dense canopy foliage.
