Precipitation seasonality in the Andes

Future rainfall predictions are difficult to estimate. However, most models predict an increase in precipitation during the wet season and a decrease during the dry season in the tropical Andes (Vera et al., 2006). This also appears to be the case over the Altiplano region (Seth et al., 2010; Minvielle & Garreaud, 2011, Neukom et al., 2015).
