Fishing industry in the Seychelles

The two major industries in the Seychelles are fishing and tourism. Being a Small Island Developing State (SIDS) Seychelles faces issues relating to availability of land and resources, and vulnerability to climatic changes. Given the two major industries, it is vitally important to protect the resources and environment in this area. As local fishermen in the Seychelles feel the impacts of Global climate change, changes are being made to ensure adequate management of the natural resources in the area.
