Swimming in front of the remains of former Whaling Station, Deception Island, South Shetland Islands, Antarctica

Tourist ships regularly visit Whalers Bay/Deception Island, where tourists can study the remains and history of Antarctic whaling. The station of the Norwegian Hektor Company was active here 1911-1931. Today tourists at this Polar site can take a swim in a warm "swimming pool" heated to comfortable temperature by underground volcanic activity.
