GRID-Arendal delivers media training to the next generation of Arctic researchers

21 January 2011 - Lawrence Hislop from GRID-Arendal led a training workshop together with the ReCo project at University of Tromso.  The workshop involved PhD students who are using new communication technologies to help explain their research. 25 students were divided into five groups and each made a three-minute documentary film explaining the core findings in their research.  Some of these films will be submitted to competitions to further exposure.

GRID-Arendal also participated in a UArctic worshop on networking communications.  The workshop brought together some of the key information providers in the Arctic region in order to share ideas, tools, and techniques for improved information flow amongst organization working on complimentary issues in the Arctic.

The media training workshop coincided with the Arctic Frontiers 2012 Conference in Tromsø, northern Norway.
