GA Stockholm office hosts policy seminar on climate change

GA Stockholm office is hosting half a day seminar on Policies in Response to Impending Climate Change - Challenges For This Century on Friday 12 March 2004. Klaus Toepfer, Executive Director for UNEP, Lena Sommestad, Minister for the Environment in Sweden and Steinar Sorensen, Managing Director GRID-Arendal will discuss policy responses moderated by Swedish environment journalist Henrik Ekman.

Stockholm, 4 March 2004 - GA Stockholm office is hosting half a day seminar on Policies in Response to Impending Climate Change - Challenges For This Century on Friday 12 March 2004. Klaus Toepfer, Executive Director for UNEP, Lena Sommestad, Minister for the Environment in Sweden and Steinar Sorensen, Managing Director GRID-Arendal will discuss policy responses moderated by Swedish environment journalist Henrik Ekman.

Klaus Toepfer will address the effects of greenhouse warming on the global environment and how we can understand what we need to do. Lena Sommestad will talk about a common responsibility for tackling climate change and its effects and what we can do about what we know.

The event is a joint event by the Swedish Ministry for the Environment, UNEP and GA Stockholm office. The seminar will take place at Rosenbad Conference Centre, Drottninggatan 1, Stockholm, Sweden from 13.30-16.00.
