International Workshop on Antarctic Ice Rises - CliC
Monday 26 Aug 2013
Thursday 29 Aug 2013
Fram Centre, Tromsø, Norway
The primary goal of this workshop is to bring researchers together to expand our knowledge of Antarctic ice rises.
The workshop will include the following sessions:
impact of ice rises on Antarctic ice sheet mass balance and sea level,
evolution of ice rises,
geologic and oceanographic controls of ice rises, and
paleoclimate using ice cores from ice rises.
A summary of the current challenges of ice-rise research will be developped, and recommendations for future directions of collaborative interdisciplinary work will be produced.
