COP Day 5 - A Day at the COP
Like all international conferences there is a ritual here in Cancun, at least for me. I'm always awake early and head out to the beach to watch the sun come up over the horizon at about 6. Friday morning a Mexican naval vessel was patrolling along the horizon. At the Moon Palace, where the beach is closed, there were four boats of varying size and potential lethality sitting in front of the hotel where the negotiations are taking place.
The day begins with a bus ride from your hotel to the Cancunmesse, where you go through security in one building, exit, and then go into another building, passed all the organization exhibitions, computer area and passed demonstrations, protests and stunts, to Bus #9 which goes to Moon Palace.
The bus heads over to Moon Palace passed the guards
Once at Moon Palace there are two options: walk to your meeting across the sprawling complex with its creatively named buildings...
 Or, take a bike
Moon Palace is so huge it's easy to take a wrong turn...
And what Cancun used to be like..
