Project activities
Activities in this project included education and training, monitoring of indicator species, habitat assessments, socio-economic monitoring, analysis of policy and legislation, codes of conduct for industry, and conflict resolution. The project was completed in mid-2009.
The role of the UNEP Polar Centre was to provide project management and provision of expert advice.
A final CAFF Monitoring Strategy Report, entitled Lessons learned from ECORA (pdf 1.5mb), summarises project results and achievements . It focusses on the lessons learned and recommendations for integrated ecosystem management in Russia.
