Wildlife at Lake Nakuru

Year: 2010
From collection: African Biodiversity
Taken by: Peter Prokosch
Lake Nakuru National Park is one of several protected areas in Kenya and is located in the eastern African Rift Valley. The lake has no outlet and is home to many plant and animal species surviving under very specific environmental conditions. It is home to the severely endangered Rothschild giraffe, which has been relocated and now lives side-by-side with the more common Masai Giraffes.
