Tundra landscape, Southeast Taimyr, Siberia, Russia, July 1993

The Taimyr peninsular in northernmost Siberia represents one of the largest unfragmented wilderness and tundra areas on Earth. From the taiga border (tree line) in the South to the northern Arctic desert different types of Arctic tundra habitats can be studied here.
