The dramatic cliffs and beaches of New Zealand are home to the Gannet, a bird which captures it's prey by diving from great height into the ocean and persuing the fish underwater.
New Zealand is highly geologically active, because it lies on the boundary of the Australian and the Pacific Plates. It has active volcanoes, and earthquakes as a result of this. The oldest rocks here are around 500 million years old.
