The long-tailed skua (Stercorarius longicaudus) is the smallest and most slender of the skuas. The long-tailed skua has a circumpolar distribution in Arctic regions. Within the former German-Soviet Environmental Agreement in the years 1989-1991 3 biological expeditions to the Taimyr peninsular in northernmost Siberia were performed.
