The main threat to porpoise is being caught in nets, though porpoise flesh is hunted consumed by Greenlanders and is attributed to the low incidence of cardiovascular disease in Greenland (Further information). You can still find Harbour Porpoise for sale at the Market in Nuuk, along with seal and whale.
