UNEP Report Calls for Global Cooperation to Conserve Arctic Biodiversity
Nagoya and Arendal, 27 October 2010 – The Arctic is experiencing some of the most rapid environmental changes on the planet. Whilst this presents enormous challenges for conserving biodiversity, it also offers opportunities for enhancing cooperation between nations and reforming environmental governance to meet the challenges of the 21st Century, according to a new report by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP).

The images and stories are compelling. High school students in four Arctic communities have photographed and written about the changes they are seeing in their regions due to rapid climate change. And now they’ll be seen by people in the hometown of U.S. President Barak Obama.
