Norwegian Minister of Climate and Environment visits GRID-Arendal

Norwegian Minister of Climate and Environment Tine Sundtoft paid her first visit to GRID-Arendal on 17 January 2014.  The Minister met with the staff and Board of Directors, who briefed her on the activities and projects of GRID-Arendal.

Minister Sundtoft highlighted the important contributions GRID-Arendal makes to the United Nations by supporting the Environment Programme on emerging and critical environmental issues. She said: “GRID-Arendal is recognized for its role in ‘bridging the gap’ between science and policy.  Through its work, it has and continues to help position UNEP as a strong knowledge-based organization able to respond to the needs of governments and international policy processes.”
