1982 - 2002: Extensive participation in local and international conferences, field trips, and courses in geology, geophysics, and geochemistry.
1974 - 1981: Cand. Real. in Marine Geology, University of Bergen, Norway
20 years experience in geological and geophysical interpretation mainly within reservoir interpretation and exploration.
This involved interpretation and mapping of various kinds of geological/geochemical borehole data and 2D/3D seismic data both on paper and workstation. The work spans from regional mapping to prospect specific and field studies.
Extensive experience with work station, computer mapping, basin modelling, resource assessment, project management, governmental processes, concession round applications and farm-in projects.
1998 - present:
Aker Kvaerner Geo AS, Affiliate Geoscientist
Geo-42 A/S, Geoscientist and General manager
Seismic reservoir interpretation and attribute analyses on Gyda South and souround area. Reservoir distribution of the Gyda Sandstone Member. Costumer Beyond Petroleum.
Basin modelling for Enterprise Oil Norge in co-operation with Øyvind Sylta at SINTEF in the Norwegian Sea with focus on Halten and Dønna Teraces. The work comprises: Project management, evaluation of source rock distribution and quality from wells and 2D/3D seismic data. Geochemical, lithological and temperature parameter input to the basin modelling.
Project manager, geological, geophysical, geochemical work and basin modelling on multiclient study with focus on the Vøring Basin in connection with the 17th Concession Round in Norway. The work includes: Seismic interpretation, seismic attribute analyses, and mapping of the post Cretaceous sequence on 35 000 km 2D seismic data and four 3D seismic surveys. Collection of input data to basin modelling comprising evaluation of alternative source rock models in the Vøring Basin, maturity parameters, carrier rock definition, heatflow regime evaluation and lithologic parameters definition.
Basin modelling for Enterprise Oil Norge in co-operation with Øyvind Sylta at SINTEF in the Northern North Sea with focus on Block 35/1. The work comprises: Evaluation of source rock distribution and quality from wells and 2D/3D seismic data. Geochemical, lithological and temperature parameter input to the basin modelling.
Basin modelling south-western North Sea for Aker Maritime. 2D basin modelling using the Basin Modelling Tool Box (BMT). Definition of all geochemical, lithological and temperature input parameters to the modelling.
Geological and geophysical work on multiclient study focusing the Vøring Basin in connection with the 16th Concession Round in Norway. The work included seismic interpretation, seismic attribute analyses and mapping of the post Cretaceous sequence and development of geological models for sand distribution in the area.
Working in association with Aker Geo Petroleum Services AS on field studies in the Hammerfest Basin for Statoil. The work included seismic interpretation, well ties, seismic attribute analyses and mapping of the Snøhvit, Albatross and Akeladden Fields on 2D and 3D seismic data.
