Events overview

Since 1977 the International Deep-Sea Biology Symposium has typically been held every three years. Following the four year gap between the conference in Southampton, UK (2006) and Reykjavik, Iceland (2010), the next International Deep-Sea Biology Symposium will re-establish an overall three year interval by being held in 2012.

The Symposium will provide the opportunity for members of the international deep-sea science community to discuss and present their latest research results.The International Deep-Sea Biology Symposium will be held for the first time in the southern hemisphere.
