This graphic shows the amounts of hazardous wastes and other wastes, in tonnes, exported from Switzerland to other countries in 1997. The amounts are based on import data, and the graphic shows that Switzerland exported wastes to the following countries: the United Kingdom, Belgium, Spain, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands and Finland. It shows that by far the largest amount of waste was exported to Germany. The graphic should be compared with Figure 19, which is based on import data and is located at http://www.grida.no/db/maps/collection/basel/19.pdf.
