Fourth UN Environment Assembly (UNEA-4)

11-15 March 2019

Nairobi, Kenya

Heads of state, ministers, business leaders, UN officials and civil society representatives will gather this week at the Fourth Session of the UN Environment Assembly in Nairobi (UNEA-4). Under the theme “Innovative solutions for environmental challenges and sustainable consumption and production,” the meeting will tackle how innovation is key both to solving many environmental challenges, as well as to accelerating sustainable development.

The assembly runs from 11-15 March at UN Environment headquarters in Kenya. As the world’s highest-level decision-making body on the environment, it brings together governments, entrepreneurs, activists and others to share ideas and commit action.

GRID-Arendal will be organising events at UNEA-4. Several of its staff members will be taking part in events as speakers or panellists.
